Refund Policy

United for Society Charitable Trust deeply values every contribution made towards our mission. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which a refund may be considered for donations made through our website.

1. Eligible Refund Scenarios

A refund request may be considered under the following circumstances:

• Duplicate payment — your account was charged more than once for the same transaction.
• Technical error — a technical failure caused an incorrect amount to be debited.
• Unauthorised transaction — you believe the donation was made without your knowledge or consent.

2. Non-Refundable Situations

• Voluntary donations made with full intent, where the donor later changes their mind.
• Donations where 80G receipts have already been issued (tax benefit claimed).
• Event registration fees where the event has already been conducted.
• Donations made more than 7 days prior to the refund request, unless a technical error is proven.

3. How to Request a Refund

To submit a refund request, please email us within 7 days of the transaction date with the following details:

• Full name and contact number
• Email address used during the transaction
• Transaction ID / payment reference number
• Amount paid and date of transaction
• Reason for the refund request

4. Processing Time

• We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days.
• Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
• Bank processing times may vary; the amount may take an additional 3–5 days to reflect in your account.

5. Payment Gateway Charges

In cases where a refund is approved, payment gateway transaction charges (typically 2–3%) may be deducted from the refund amount as these are non-recoverable fees charged by the payment processor.
